Daniel Van Hove holds degrees in Commercial Management Engineering (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium) in 1975 / MBA (University of Chicago, U.S.A.) in 1977 and Chartered Financial Analyst (U.S.A.) in 1992.
Consecutively, from 1975 to 1987, he worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at both the University of Louvain and the Catholic Faculties of Mons, Belgium, Financial Analyst and International Account Officer (United California Bank), Financial Analyst, Corporate Account Officer, Assistant Treasurer (JP Morgan), Head of Economic Research and Head of Fixed-Income Asset Management (Banque Internationale à Luxembourg). He joined Kredietrust Luxembourg S.A. in 1987 as Head of Institutional Asset Management and was appointed Managing Director in 1999.
Early in 2003, Daniel Van Hove after having left Kredietrust Luxembourg S.A. set up Bellatrix Investments S.A., which changed its denomination into Orionis Management S.A. in August 2010, a company he fully controls.
